    1803.

Allowance to commissioners.

                                LAWS OF MARYLAND.

    6.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the commissioners appointed in
virtue of this act shall be entitled to receive the same compensation
for each day they shall attend to the discharge of the duties herein
required, as the commissioners appointed in the said original act
were entitled to receive, to be levied, collected and paid, as other
county charges are levied, collected and paid.

Parts of acts repealed.     7.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That such parts of the said original
act, and the several supplements thereto, as are inconsistent with,
and repugnant to, this law, be and the same are hereby repealed.

A Further Additional Supplement to an act, (a) entitled, An act for the
    opening of Second-street in the City of Baltimore.  Lib. JG. No. 4,

Preamble.     WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, by the petition
of sundry inhabitants of the city of Baltimore, that under the
operation of an act, entitled, An act for the opening of Second-street
in the city of baltimore, and the several supplements thereto,
the property of many individuals have been taxed and made liable
for a sum of money surpassing any advantage or convenience derived
in consequence of the opening and extending the said street, and
praying that a law may pass authorising the mayor and city council
of Baltimore to appropriate part of the city funds towards defraying
the expense thereof; therefore,
City funds may be
appropriated for
opening street.
    2.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
it shall and may be lawful for the mayor and city council of Baltimore,
by their ordinance, to appropriate so much of the city funds
as they may deem adequate for the benefit which the public have
derived by the opening and extending Second-street in the city of
Baltimore, and to apportion and pay such sum or sums of money,
so appropriated and apportioned, to each and every person whose
property has heretofore been charged and made liable for the expense
incurred under the operation of an act of the general assembly,
entitled, An act for the opening of Second-street in the city of
Baltimore, and the several supplements thereto.

                                    CHAP. LXXXIII.
An Act relating to the Inspection of Flour and other Articles in the
        Precincts of the City of Baltimore.

Preamble.     WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, that many
persons residing in the precincts of the city of Baltimore labour
under great disadvantages by reason of the inspectors of said city
not being authorised to inspect flour and other articles within the
said precincts; for remedy whereof,

city.
    2.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the laws heretofore passed, or hereafter to be passed, respecting the
inspection of flour, provisions, butter and liquors, and the ordinances
of the corporation of the city of Baltimore, so far as the same
