to procure a handsome
sword and belt, with an appropriate engraving, and
motto emblematic of the action of Derne, and cause the
same to be presented to George W. Mann, in testimony
of the high sense of approbation the legislature of Maryland
entertain of his gallant conduct,
33. Resolution authorising them,
at any time during
the recess of the legislature, upon the application of
the
register, to ascertain the state of the record books,
&c.
34. Resolution authorising them
to purchase three elegant
swords and belts, with an appropriate engraving,
and motto emblematic of the glorious actions fought off
Tripoli, and cause the same to be delivered to Charles
Gordon, John Trippe and John Davis, in testimony of
the high sense of approbation the legislature of this
state
entertain in their gallant conduct,
35. Resolution authorising them
to cause the unappropriated
room in the west corner of the stadt house to be
fitted for the register in chancery, &c.
