    All conveyances made and enrolled under the several
acts of 1674, ch. 2, 1692, ch. 30, and 1699, ch. 42, during
their continuances confirmed, but void if not enrolled,
 

    No manor lands, tenements or hereditaments, whatsoever,
shall pass from one to another, whereby the estate
or inheritance for above seven years, shall be made
to take effect, unless by deed or conveyance made by
writing indented, and sealed and acknowledged in the
provincial court, or before one justice thereof, or in the
county court, or before two justices of the same, and
enrolled within six months from the date of such deed,
&c.
    The party taking such acknowledgment to have one
shilling and no more,
    The clerk to enrol such deed, and endorse on the
back thereof the said enrolment, and also the folio of
the book in which such deed is enrolled, and sign
such endorsement,
    Where the grantor or grantors live remote from either
the provincial or county courts where the land
lieth, they may acknowledge the same in the county
where they live, and a certificate of such acknowledgment,
under the hand of the clerk and county seal,
shall be sufficient to warrant the clerk of the county,
where the land lieth, to enroll the same,
    If any such grantor shall be out of this province,
within any of his majesty's dominions, at the time of
enrolling such writing, the same may be acknowledged
by letter of attorney, proved either in the provincial
court, or county court where such lands lie, before one
justice of the provincial court, or two justices of the
county court, and be enrolled as aforesaid,
    All acknowledgments of any deeds, &c. made during
the continuance of any of the former recited acts, before
one justice of the provincial court, or before one
or two of the council, and enrolled, &c. confirmed,
