No. 1.
RESOLVED, That George Campbell be and he is hereby
placed
on the pension list of this state, and that the treasurer of the state
be and he is hereby authorised to pay him fifty dollars per annum,
in quarterly payments. |

No. 2.
RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore
credit the account
upon the treasury books against Thomas Renshaw, with
the amount of the same, and also issue an order to the register of
the land office, to make out and issue a patent to said Thomas Renshaw,
or his assigns, for part of a tract of land purchased by him
of the intendant, and called and returned by said intendant as part
of Wheeler's Leases, agreeably to the certificate of survey signed
by the surveyor of Harford county; provided the said Thomas Renshaw
make it appear, to the satisfaction of the said treasurer, that
he has paid to the sheriff of Harford county, or his deputies, the
amount of the debt, interest and costs, endorsed on a writ of fieri
facias issued upon a judgment obtained in the general court
of the
western shore against said Thomas Renshaw, upon his bond at the
suit of the state of Maryland, and shall produce the receipt or receipts
of the said sheriff or his deputies for the same. |

No. 3.
RESOLVED, That the chancellor be and he is hereby
authorised
to inquire into all the circumstances, touching the execution of a
special warrant of resurvey granted to a certain Talbot Shipley,
late of Anne-Arundel county, deceased, on the eighteenth day of
January, one thousand seven hundred and ninety-nine, as stated
in the petition of Rachel Shipley, his widow and administratrix,
and if, upon said examination of all the circumstances, the chancellor
shall be of opinion, that the said warrant has not been duly
executed, and the certificate thereon duly received in the land office,
owing to a collusion between the counter petitioner, William
Alexander, or John Guyer, in whose name the warrants, (the benefit
of which is claimed by the said Alexander,) were taken out,
or any other person or persons whatever who are now or have been
interested in both or either of the said warrants, or the surveys
made thereon, or of any person on behalf of them, or any of them,
and of the principal surveyor of Anne-Arundel county, that in
such case he shall direct the register of the land office to receive
into
his said office the certificate aforesaid, which has been hitherto
presented
to the said register on the seventh day of February last, and,
(if the same shall be received,) the chancellor shall then give to
said certificate all the force, validity and effect, which it would
have
been entitled to, if the surveyor of Anne-Arundel county had regularly
discharged his duty, touching the warrant so as aforesaid
issued to the said Talbot Shipley, and the certificate for the same. |
