                                        APPENDIX.

    Somerset County,                At Snow-Hill, on the land formerly belonging to
                                                        Henry Bishop, and left to Anne Bishop his widow.
                                                    On Arnold Erzye's land, and the land adjacent at
                                                        Oyster-Neck, at the mouth of Monokin.
And all People that have already built upon the land, called Snow-Hill, shall enjoy
the Lots as fully, firmly, &c. as any other builders upon Lots in any other
Towns, paying for the same as others do.

    Dorchester County,             In Little Choptank River, at Nicholas Mazey's
                                                        Point, to be called Islington.
                                                    On Hunger River, on the East Side of the said River,
                                                        on Andrew Justey's Neck, to be called Bristol.
    Cecil County,                        In Elke River, at a Place called Cecil-Town, at the
                                                        mouth of Bohemia River.
    (2.)  The Commissioners nominated in the act of 1683, or any five of them,
are impowered not only to purchase, survey and lay out the lots, &c. but to do
and perform all other things relative to the new towns herein mentioned, as they
were impowered by the two former acts to do, in relation to the towns therein
mentioned.  (3.)  The said respective Commissioners to meet on the said respective
lands, some time before the 25th March next, and cause 100 acres to be laid
out, &c. according to the directions of the aforesaid acts.  (4.)  The taking up

of lots, and complying with the rules and directions of the aforesaid acts, and
building thereon accordingly before the last day of August 1688, shall invest the
takers-up with a like estate in their respective lots, in the same manner as lots
are held under the said acts, &c. &c.  (12.)  All lots, not taken up within five years,
from the commencement of the act of 1683, shall revert to the owners of the
land, &c. but shall, notwithstanding, he deemed town lands, and enjoy the same
privileges with other lots, &c.  Provided nevertheless, that such owners of untaken-up
lots, at any time, within five years, after the expiration of the above
mentioned five years, or tender of double the value of the first purchase of a lot
in such town, and the charges of the first taking-up of the same, shall accept the
same in full satisfaction for such lot, and shall thereupon, at the charges of such
taker-up, make good and sufficient assurance to him and his heirs.  And upon refusal

thereof, the person so tendering, and his heirs, shall from thenceforth be invested,
&c. in the same lot, as if he had taken up in due time:  Such taker-up still following
directions in building, or otherwise, of this and the former acts.
(13.)  The several towns hereafter mentioned, and by the former acts made places,
&c. for trade, being now by experience found no ways fitting or convenient, viz.
    Somerset County,                The Town on Morgan's Land, formerly called Barrow's,
                                                        towards the head of Pocomoke.
    Dorchester County,            On Worgan's land, near the head of Fishing Creek,
                                                        in Little Choptank,
    Baltimore County,                In Middle River, on the land of Cornwallis, or
                                                        Leakins,
    Charles County,                   On Stump-Neck, near Chingemixen, on the lands
                                                        of the late Mr. Reddish,
are hereby declared to be annulled and untowned, and for ever after to be and remain
to the former respective owners, &c.  (14.)  The two former acts, (in all points
not altered by the present act) to remain in full force.

1 and 2.  1666, ch. 1 and 4.  1669, ch. 2, 3, and 7.  1671, ch. 4, 7, 8, 9, 23,
25, and 30.  1674, ch. 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 13, and 26.  1678, ch. 5, 7, 8, 10, and 11.
1681, ch. 1, 2, 3, 5, and 14.  1682, ch. 1, 2, and 3.  1683, ch. 2, and 3.  And
1684, ch. 3.  Expired.
