            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

execution to issue until there has been a demand by the
assignee from the principal debtor,
—But not necessary, if such debtor shall have removed
since the judgment from his then place of residence,
    Justices of the peace directed, in case of resignation
or removal, to deliver their dockets, judicial papers,
&c. to the county clerks,
—Executors, &c. of those dying to deliver them in
like manner,
—The clerks to deliver transcripts on application
under the penalty therein mentioned,
—On such transcripts, process may be issued by
any justice of the peace,
    The courts to proceed to hear appeals from the decision
of a justice, where the appellee shall not appear
on two summonses, or one attachment being returned
non est,
    Any justice convicted of granting blank warrants or
executions to any constable or party, shall be fined not
less than $100, and not exceeding $400,
    No appeal to be dismissed because the same had not
been prayed to the county court next after the judgment,
unless the court shall be satisfied that the appellant
had notice of such judgment at least ten days before
the sitting of the said county court,
    Claims on any of the banks under $50 to be recovered
before a justice of the peace,
—Manner of proceeding,

    Of Montgomery county—money to be levied for his
support,

    Of Anne-Arundel county—same,

—Same,

    Of Somerset county—same,

    Of Worcester county—same,

    In Worcester county—an alley therein mentioned to
be laid open,
—Provision made for its regulation, and improvement,
—The Union Company of Snow Hill incorporated,
 
 

   Murder committed in the perpetration or attempt to
perpetrate sodomy, to be deemed of the first degree,
    Every person convicted of sodomy, to be sentenced
to confinement in the penitentiary, not less than 1 nor
more than 10 years,

    A soldier in actual service may dispose of his moveables,
wages and personal estate, as before the passing
of this act, (concerning nuncupative wills,)

    No judge, after having qualified, shall act as a solicitor
in any court in this state, during the time that
he shall act as a judge,

    Princess-Anne-town, to be laid out anew,
    Part of the divisional line between Somerset and
Worcester counties changed,
    Commissioners appointed to sell certain lands belonging
to Stepney Parish, and to apply the money,
    A further supplement to the act of 1795, ch. 38, relating
