QUEEN-ANNE'S
      COUNTY

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

    Lots to be annexed to the town of Centreville,
    A road to be laid out from Queen's-town to Queen's-town
Creek,
    The post road from Church Hill to Centreville to be
straightened and amended,

    Cæcil, Kent, Queen-Anne's, and Talbot counties,
from the second judicial district,

    A public road from R. Tilghman's gate, to intersect
the road from J. B. to Sudler's cross roads, confirmed,
&c.
    A bridge to be built over Chester River, &c.
    The levy courts of Kent and Queen-Anne's counties
authorised to levy money for building a bridge over
Chester river, at the head of Chester,
    Part of a branch of Tuckahoe known by the name of
Beaver Dam Branch, to be drained,
    The county courts to be held on the first Monday in
May and third Monday in October,
    Queen-Anne's, Caroline, and Talbot counties, form
the seventh district for electing representatives in congress,
    Kent and Queen-Anne's counties form the seventh
district for choosing electors of the president and vice-president
of the United States,
    Regulations concerning the public roads,
    A road to be laid out from the Methodist meeting
house at Hill's Cross Roads, to intersect the road from
Centreville to Routhsburg,
    Allowance to bailiffs and constables whilst attending
the county courts, to be levied, &c.
—Fees to constables for serving process,
    Money to be levied (together with Talbot and Caroline,)
for building a bridge over Tuckahoe creek,
    A lottery authorised for compensating R. Tilghman,
and others, for money expended in building
the new church, &c.
    Booths for selling liquors near the Methodist meeting
prohibited,
    A road to be opened to the public road leading from
the Beaver Dam Road to Sudler's Cross Roads,
    Regulations concerning militia meetings on Kent
Island, in Queen-Anne's county,
    The provisions of the act of 1790, ch. 3, to facilitate
the draining of land, extended to Queen-Anne's county,
    Certain lands before conveyed vested in the trustees
of the Presbyterian congregation of Queen-Anne's
and Caroline counties,
    The road leading from 1 B, and intersecting the
road from Church Hill to Chester-town, &c. to be confirmed,
    A road to be laid out from Dudley's meeting house
to Collester's ferry,
    Two roads to be laid out, one from Doctor Whittington's
gate, on the road from Church Hill to Chester-town,
as therein described, to the head of Chester;
the other to begin at a part of the new road above mentioned,
and to pass by Double Creek Meeting House
to the road from Church Hill to the head of Chester,
    The trustees authorised to keep a certain number of
out pensioners,
    A road to be laid out from St. Paul's Chapel to intersect
the road from Bullock-town to Emory's Cross
Roads, at the fork of the Smyrna road,
    The purchase therein mentioned of land by the trustees
of the poor, confirmed,
