            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

to serving as commissioners, declared to be good
and available in law as if they had taken an oath,
    Certain lots at Cæcil Meeting House in Kent county,
vested in trustees for the use of the society called
Quakers,
    Quakers, &c. and persons scrupulous of bearing
arms, exempted in part from militia duty,
    Proof required from persons having conscientious
scruples by certificates,
—To be exempted, (except when called into actual
service,) on the payment of three dollars annually,
—Manner of collecting the same,

—Not exempt from standing their draught,

    The property therein mentioned vested in trustees
for a society of Quakers in Baltimore,
    The title of the Meeting of Friends therein mentioned
to lands in Talbot county confirmed, and the
members incorporated,
    The declaration of rights and constitution altered
relating to the administration of oaths in certain
cases,
    An act to authorise the conveyance of certain lands
for the use of the religious society of Quakers, for the
support of a school in Montgomery county,
 

    Of property in voters virtually abolished,

—For appointment to offices, the legislature,
&c. repealed and abolished,
—Of property for jurors, repealed,

    Additional allowance to pilots detained on board of
vessels subjected to quarantine,

    In Prince-George's county, swine prevented from
going at large therein, &c.
    Money authorised to be levied (with Anne-Arundel
county,) for building a bridge over Patuxent River, at
Queen Anne,
    Bridges to be built over Patuxent at Queen Anne,
&c.

    The Long Marsh to be drained,

    Provisions for draining part of the Unicorn Branch,
    Regulations concerning the town of Centreville,
    A road to be laid out from the Delaware line to intersect
the Rolling Road,
    A public road to be opened from the farm of C.
Sewel to the farm of J. Chairs,
    Roads before laid out to be cleared and repaired,
    The trustees of the Centreville Academy incorporated, 
&c.
    Part of the act of 1789, ch. 15, and its supplements,
respecting the draining of the Long Marsh,
suspended,

    Buildings to be erected for the use of the poor,

    A lottery authorised for improving the navigation
of Corsica Creek,
    Several roads therein mentioned to be laid out and
opened,
    An act to lay out and make public several roads in
Queen-Anne's county,
