            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

    Oath to be taken by the auditor, in the county courts,
—By commissioners from the county courts for dividing
land between devisees,

    An affirmation to be of the same avail as an oath,
as therein mentioned, to all intents and purposes,
    Oath to be taken by the attorney general and district
attornies,
—By registers of deeds of apprenticeship, &c. in
cases of German or Swiss redemptioners,
    Inventories of the property of such persons dying on
board to be delivered by the masters on oath,
    Retailers of liquors in the counties therein mentioned
to be examined on oath as to the person for whose
use the license is intended,
    Oath or affirmation to be taken by commissioners for
valuing infants lands on petition for sale,
—On application for a scire facias against any bank,
—By brokers on obtaining license,

    Robbery or larceny of, punishable in the same manner
as of goods and chattels,
—Punishment for forging,

    Whenever two or more parties are jointly bound, and
one or more of the obligors die, his or their representatives
may be proceeded against as if bound severally,
as well as jointly,

    Of Montgomery county—money to be levied for their
support,

    Any person apprehended, having upon him a pistol,
&c.  with intent feloniously to assault any person, to be
deemed a rogue and vagabond, and on conviction sentenced
to confinement in the penitentiary not less than
3 months nor more than 2 years,

    Any judge, &c. taking or giving an illegal fee, gift,
or undue reward, to influence his behaviour in his office,
or in the administration of justice, deemed bribery,
and disqualifying the person from holding any office
for ever,
    Punishment for burning the office of a clerk or register
or any public office,

    The property qualifications for offices of profit
or trust repealed and abolished,
    Penalty on justices of the peace after qualifying accepting
any office under the United States, and still
acting as justices,
    Persons challenging or accepting a challenge to fight
a duel, declared incapable of holding or being elected
to any post of profit, trust, &c. civil or military,
    What shall amount to misbehaviour in office.  See

    The official acts of certain magistrates confirmed as
if they had not been officers under the general government,
—A similar provision,
    Officers of courts to send out their fees in dollars and
cents,
    Time allowed to the officer for bringing a person on
habeas corpus if more than 20 miles distant,
