DORCHESTER COUNTY

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

    Officers fees, and other costs, to be charged in dollars
and cents, and not otherwise,
    All accounts in the public offices, and proceedings
in court, to be kept, and all judgments and decrees,
and all penalties, &c. and public bonds, to be in the
money hereby made current, viz. dollars and cents,

    Of Harford countymoney to be levied for his support,
 

   Provisions relating to the public roads,
 

    Provision for the regulation and improvement of the
town of Cambridge,
    Provision concerning Indian lands,
    Part of the public road from the head of Church
creek to Cambridge to be changed,
    Swine and geese prevented from going at large in
New Market,
    Directions concerning deeds to the purchasers of Indian
lands,
    The register of wills directed to keep his office, &c. at
the place of holding the county court,
    Caroline, Dorchester, Somerset, and Worcester
counties, to be the fourth judicial district,

    A constable to be annually appointed by the levy
court for the village of New Market,
    Penalty on persons fixing seines across the rivers
Tansquakin and Chickwiccom co,
    Money to be levied for the support of Solomon
Jones, and wife,
Same for Covington Jones, and wife,
    Provision for recording certain papers in the office of
the register of wills,
    The county courts to be held on the third Monday
in March and fourth Monday in October,
    Dorchester, Somerset, and Worcester counties, form
the eighth district for electing representatives to congress,
    Talbot, Caroline, and the first election district of
Dorchester county, form the eighth district for choosing
electors of the president and vice-president of the
United States,
    The remainder of Dorchester county, Somerset and
Worcester counties, form the ninth district for choosing
electors of the president and vice-president of the
United States,
    The commissioners of Cambridge authorised to make
by-laws and regulations,
    Wears and hedges in the north west branch of Nanticoke
river declared nuisances, &c.
Penalty for placing them therein,
    Money to be levied for the purchase of lots near the
court-house, &c.
    A lottery authorised for building a wharf at Cambridge,
    The destruction of crows encouraged,
    Acts confirmed and powers given to Joseph
Ennalls the late sheriff,
    Regulations concerning militia meetings,
    Regulations concerning the poor,
The act of 1811, ch. 102, repealed, and that of
1785, ch. 57, where inconsistent,
An additional supplement to the act of 1785, ch.
57, and the supplements thereto,
