            INDEX TO THE LAWS.
 

    Copies of the levy lists to be sent annually by the
county clerks to the house of delegates,
    Directions concerning the election of delegates to
the general assembly, the returns, &c.
    See Elections.
    The 45th article of the constitution, which made
field officers of the militia ineligible as delegates, repealed
and abolished,
    Delegates to the general assembly to be chosen by
free white male citizens by ballot, having resided 12
months in the state, and six months in the county,

    Fugitive felons sentenced to be confined in the penitentiary
for the residue of their term, but to be delivered
up on demand by the other state,
    On assignment of a judgment confessed before a justice
of the peace, with stay of execution, a demand by
the assignee on the principal debtor, necessary for obtaining
an execution, unless such debtor shall have
removed,
    Not necessary to make a demand of a compliance to
entitle the party obtaining a decree to process thereon,

    Of Prince-George's county—money to be levied for
his support,

    Any denizen, &c. who may be indicted for any offence
committed within this state, shall be tried by a
jury of the county, in the same manner as the citizens
thereof, and there shall be no challenge to the array or
polls for the want of foreigners on the pannel or jury
that may be returned,

    Of Montgomery county—money to be levied for her
support,

In Caroline county—commissioners appointed for its
regulation and improvement,
—Swine and geese prevented from going at large,
 

—Further regulations, &c.

    The register of wills directed to keep his office at
Denton, and to attend there,
    A lottery authorised for building a school house,
    Part of a road in Denton to be reviewed, &c. as therein
directed,
    The Denton Bridge Company incorporated,
&c.

    Prohibited from purchasing in any debt from persons
residing in the county, &c.

    Where any of the heirs sell out their right to the intestate's
real estate, and the purchaser, and the other
heirs, cannot agree on a division, the purchaser may
effect the same, according to the provisions of the act
to direct descents,
—Same, when a minor is entitled to any part,
    Where commissioners determine that the estate
cannot be divided without injury, and the return is
confirmed, the person making the election to take the
estate at the valuation, directed to give bonds at the
time, with two or more securities, to the other persons
entitled, for their proportions,
