            INDEX TO THE LAWS.

    Directions for holding public commencements, and
admitting to degrees,
—Manner of admitting to honorary, or other degrees,
persons not students of the college,
    Temporary constitution of the academy therein mentioned,
into the college,
    The charter, and act of incorporation, to be available,
&c. and construed most favourably on behalf of the trustees,
    The sums appropriated as donations to Washington
and Saint John's Colleges discontinued after the 1st of
June then next,
—The 2d section of the act of 1784, ch. 7, and the

    A company incorporated to make a turnpike road
from Columbia to Frederick Town,
—Same from near Ellicott's lower mills, towards
George Town in the District of Columbia,
—Same from the District of Columbia to the city
of Baltimore,
    Persons having letters testamentary or of administration
in the District of Columbia, may maintain any suit
in this state as if granted therein—manner of authentication,

    And his children, of Caroline county—money to be
levied for their support,

    And Farmers Bank of Baltimore, incorporated, &c.
—The charter continued and extended to the 1st of
January 1835, &c. provided that the said bank is not
released from the terms and conditions prescribed by
the act of 1813, ch. 122,
—Insurance Company incorporated, in Baltimore,

    To be appointed by the governor and council for the
militia when called out,

    To be allowed to trustees under the act authorising
a sale of the real estates of minors,
