BALTIMORE COUNTY

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.

    A road to be laid out from J. Sumburgher's to W.
Hoffman's mill, and thence to intersect the Old York
Road near J. Jones's,
    A bridge to be built over Patapsco at Norwood's Ferry,
    The Calverton Turnpike Road Company incorporated,
    A company incorporated to make a turnpike road
from Baltimore through Liberty-town to Hagers
Town,
    A company incorporated to make a turnpike road
from the York Turnpike Road to McCall's Ferry on
the Susquehanna,
    The Patapsco Manufacturing Company incorporated,
    A road to be laid out from Bennett's mills to the old
Westminster road, so as to intersect the same near
Buckman's tavern,
    Money to be levied for the support of  S. Tipton and
others,
    A road to be laid out from the Ætna Powder Works
to intersect the Liberty Road,
    A lottery authorised for building a Protestant Episcopal
Church,
    A company incorporated to make turnpike roads
from Baltimore city to the Susquehanna bridge near
Rock Run, and thence to the Maryland line, and also
to intersect the road from Havre-de-Grace,
    The old road to be straightened, &c. from S. Gill's
gate to the road from Worthington's old mill to Baltimore,
    Provision for repairing the gaol,
    The 3d section of the act of 1815, ch. 173, respecting
the sheriff and collector, repealed,
    The vestry of St. John's parish in Harford and Baltimore
counties empowered to sell certain lands, and
vest the proceeds in monied institutions,
    A road to be laid out from New Windsor Sulphur
Springs to Poulson's meeting-house, thence to intersect
the Deer Park road in Baltimore county,
    A road to be laid out from a county road near Hoffman's
paper mill, and thence to intersect the Pennsylvania
line as therein directed,
    The road between the lands of R. Caton and R. T.
Spence, &c. to be made a public road,
—The part of the Hunting Ridge road extending
from the said Spence's gate on the Elk Ridge road to
Maiden's Choice Run, to be shut up,
    Regulations concerning the apportionment of parts of
the terms for trials and hearing appeals according to
the residence of the defendants, the attendance of jurors,
&c.
    A road to be laid out from Freeland's mill to intersect
the turnpike road at Hampstead,
    Provision made for selling or leasing the poor-house
and ground, and for building a new one,
    An act relating to insolvent debtors in the city and
county of Baltimore,
    The Warren Manufacturing Company incorporated,

    Commissioners of the school fund appointed,

—Supplement, appointing others,
    The several assessments and levies of taxes, &c. made
by the levy court, and the contracts thereon, declared
valid as if made within the time limited by law,
—But not to affect the legal defence of any collectors,
&c.
    Directions for the levy court to meet and complete
the levy for 1817—proceedings declared valid,
