INDEX TO THE LAWS.
A road to be laid out from the town
of Unity, in
Montgomery county, to the establishment of Bentley,
& Co. called Triadelphia, and thence crossing the
Patuxent
to intersect the road from Roxbury to Elk Ridge
landing,
The polls for the second election
district to be held
at the house of Jacob Waters, on the road from Annapolis
to Washington,
All that part of the second election district, lying
out of Annapolis, to constitute the second district,
The City of Annapolis to constitute the sixth district
for the elections therein mentioned,
The Mayor, &c. to hold the elections at such
place as they may appoint, and make returns, which
shall be computed and received by the presiding judges
of the election districts,
Commissioners of the school fund appointed,
Money to be levied for the support
of William Phelps,
and others,
A road to be laid out from New Market,
to intersect
the George Town road near Griffith's lane, and thence
to intersect the old Baltimore and Frederick road near

Elk Ridge landing, and to make him an allowance

not taken away, for the use of the county, if the money
is not demanded,

poor children in certain counties, (1816, ch. 244,) as
relates to Anne Arundel county, repealed,

The pay of the judges of the orphans
court increased
to three dollars,
The collector to collect the money
heretofore levied
under the act of 1816, ch. 244, for the education of

children, &c. not yet collected, and pay the same

the treasurer of the school fund,
The said treasurer directed, after paying all contracts
for the education of poor children made by the
trustees, to pay the remainder to the levy court, |
