TO WIT:
CHAPTER I.
An Act relative to the continuance of Causes in the Court of Appeals,
and to alter the time of holding the same. Lib.

CHAP. 1.

1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
the court of appeals, now sitting, be and they are hereby authorised
to continue any cause depending in the said court until and
during their November term, eighteen hundred and two, which they
may in their discretion think proper, in order for a haring on the
merits, and not for delay. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That no action pending,
or which may
hereafter be instituted, in the court of appeals, shall continue longer
than the end of the fourth court after the said shall have been
instituted, unless by consent of parties, at the discretion of the
court.

3. This section fixed the times for holding the
court of appeals, which have since
been altered by 1805, ch. 65, s. 7, and other acts. |

An Act to settle and ascertain the Salary of Members of the Council

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
each member of the council shall be entitled to receive, for the ensuing
year, the sum of two hundred pounds current money for his
salary. |
