  CHARLES GOLDSBOROUGH, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

the erection of a toll-gate on the west side of Monocacy, then this
act, and the powers and privileges hereby granted, shall for ever
cease and determine; And provided also, if the said company do not
complete the road unto the said bridge, in the space of five years
from and after the passage of this act, the tolls on said bridge shall
also cease.

Proviso.

    4.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall not be lawful for the said
company to ask, demand or receive, of or from any person or persons
living within three miles of the said bridge, any toll for passing
the said bridge more than twice in twenty-four hours.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the levy court of Charles county be, and they are hereby directed
and empowered, at their levy court annually, to assess and levy
on the assessable property of said county, a sum of money not exceeding
forty dollars, for the support and maintenance of Francis
Adams, of John, of said county, so long as they shall see cause,
and that the same be collected annually by the collector or collectors
of said county, and paid to the said Francis Adams, of John,
or to his order.

for his support.

An Act for the support of Elizabeth Mason, of Saint-Mary's County.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the justices of the levy court of Saint-Mary's county be, and they 
are hereby authorised and empowered, at their levy court annually,
so long as they shall see cause, to assess and levy on the assessable
property of said county, the sum of forty dollars, for the
support and maintenance of the said Elizabeth Mason, and
that the same be collected annually by the collector of Saint-Mary's
county, and paid to the said Elizabeth Mason, or her order.

    in the Will of John Cunningham, late of Harford County, deceased,
    to Francis Asbury, William McKendree, and others, in trust for
