Adjutant's duty. |
LAWS OF MARYLAND.
50. AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the
duty of the adjutant
of each regiment and extra battalion, to attend all meetins as
directed by this act, and execute the orders of the commanding officers,
necessary to carry into effect the provisions thereof, and upon
refusal or neglect, to be subject to a fine not exceeding fifty dollars,
in the discretion of such court martial as the case may require. |
Extra battalion
staff. |
51. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the same number
of staff officers
shall be commissioned by the governor and council, for an extra
battalion, as heretofore authorised for a regiment. |
Militia may be
kept under arms
6 hours. |
52. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the militia on
any day of exercise,
as established by this act, may be detained under arms in the field
any time not exceeding six hours, provided they are not kept above
three hours under arms at any one time without allowing them proper
time to refresh themselves. |
