An Act to repeal a part of an Act* to reinstate in the County Court
of
Allegany County the proceedings of a Case therein mentioned.

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
all that part of the third section of an act to reinstate in the county
court of Allegany county the proceedings of a case therein mentioned,
that provides also, that should the road be located in another
or different direction, the said David Lynn shall not be entitled
to any damages for either of said roads, be and the same is
hereby repealed. |

An Act for the relief of Sally Brice, of Worcester County.

for her support. |
BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
the justices of the levy court of Worcester county, be and they
are hereby authorised and empowered, so long as they shall deem
it necessary, to levy on the assessable property of said county,
annually, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dollars, for the
support and maintenance of the said Sally Brice, and that the
same be collected annually by the collector of Worcester county,
and by him paid over to the order of the levy court of said county. |

CHAP. CLXXVI.
An Act to improve and keep in order the Streets in, and Roads near,
the Town of St. Michael's, in Talbot County. Lib.

Preamble. |
WHEREAS, it is represented to this general assembly,
by the
commissioners of the town of St. Michael's, in Talbot county,
and the inhabitants of said town, that the streets thereof are in
bad order, and that the said commissioners have no power by law
to compel the inhabitants to work on and repair them; nor does it
appear that the said streets are considered as part of the public
roads, so far as to bring them under the provisions of the road law
or laws for Talbot county; to remove that inconvenience, therefore, |

considered as highways. |
1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, the streets, lanes and alleys,
of the said town of St. Michael's, shall be considered as public
highways, and that the said streets, lanes and alleys, together with
one mile of the post road, measured each way from the gate of
St. Michael's church yard, shall compose one division or district,
which said district shall be repaired and kept in good order in the
manner prescribed by the road law or laws for Talbot county, by
and under the direction of the commissioners of the town of St.
Michael's, who are hereby authorised to call out and compel all
the male inhabitants of said town, over eighteen years of age, to
work on said streets, lanes and alleys, as often as may be necessary
for the purpose of keeping them in repair, as also to call out
all the male inhabitants, over eighteen years of age, on the farms |
