LAWS OF MARYLAND.
the farm in Frederick county in this state, on which they now
dwell, and any other lands and real estate, and any personal or
mixed estate or property, and all such lands, and real, personal
and mixed estate, to sell, lease, dispose of, and convey, in as full
and ample manner as any person or body corporate holding any
lands or property, real, personal or mixed, may sell, lease, dispose
of, and convey the same; and to collect and receive the rents, profits,
proceeds and emoluments, of all the property by them so held or
possessed, and apply the same to the uses of their said association,
according to the rules and regulations established from time to time
for the government thereof; Provided always, that they shall not
at any time hold, use, possess and enjoy, either by legal seizure or
trust for their benefit, more than eight hundred acres of land, nor
shall their personal estate at any time exceed in value the sum of
fifty thousand dollars. |

CHAP. XCVI.
An Act to vest in the Justices of the Levy Court of Talbot County
certain
Property, and to repeal the Acts of Assembly therein
mentioned.

1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
all the public ground in the town of Easton, in Talbot county, together
with the court-house, and other buildings and improvements
thereon, be and the same are hereby vested in the justices of the
levy court for the time being, for the accommodation of the court
of appeals for the eastern shore, and of the county court of Talbot
county, and for such other county or state purposes as to the levy
court may seem proper. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That so much of the
act of assembly*, entitled,
An act for the building of a court-house in Talbot county, for
the accommodation of the general court for the eastern shore, and
the county of Talbot, and so much of the act of assembly †, entitled
An act incorporating the justices of the levy court in the respective
counties in this state, for the purposes therein mentioned, as may
be inconsistent with this act, be and the same are hereby repealed. |

1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
Jonas Green be and he is hereby appointed and constituted printer
to the state. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the
duty of the printer
appointed by virtue of this act, to print the laws and votes and
proceedings of the general assembly, agreeably to the provisions
of the act of 1790, chapter 51, section 3, and in conformity to the
64th resolution passed November session 1811; Provided nevertheless,
that for the present year the printer aforesaid shall be allowed |
