will well and truly apply so much of the money arising therefrom,
within six months after the drawing of said lottery shall commence,
as will satisfy the fortunate adventurers for prizes drawn
by them; and after deducting the necessary expenses incurred in
said lottery, shall, within six months from the time said lottery
shall commence, apply the money raised by said lottery to the paving
Market-street, in Frederick town, from Third-street to the
north end of the town, exclusive of the foot-ways or side-pavements
therein.

CHAP. 81.

    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That it shall be the duty of the said
Frederick Nusz, Michael Ott, George Houck, Henry Kelly, John
Doll, Henry Getzhandanner, and George Jacob Houx, or a majority
of them, to lodge their bond, made and entered into as aforesaid,
in the office of the clerk of Frederick county court, there to
be recorded, and upon such bond, or any office copy thereof, suit or
suits may be instituted against the obligors therein, or any of them,
or their legal representatives, for any breach or non-compliance
with the condition of the same.

                                    CHAP. LXXXII.
An Act to authorise the Levy Court of Frederick County to assess and
    levy a sum of money for the purposes therein mentioned. Lib. TH.
    No. 5, fol. 224.

Passed Jan. 16, 1817.
    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the levy court of Frederick county be, and they are hereby authorised,
to assess and levy on the assessable property of said county,
a sum of money sufficient in their discretion to repair the Bentz-town
market-house, and the school room above it, not exceeding
the sum of five hundred dollars, to be paid to the trustees of the
Bentz-town market-house for the purpose of repairing the market-house
and school room aforesaid.

                                   CHAP LXXXIII.
A Supplement to the act*, entitled, An act to Incorporate a Company
    to make a Turnpike Road from the town of Westminster, in Frederick
    County, through Harman's Gap, to Hager's-Town in Washington
    County.  Lib. TH. No. 5, fol. 224.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the president, managers and company, of the Hager's-town turnpike
road company, be and they are hereby authorised and empowered,
if in their discretion it be expedient, to locate or change
the present location of said turnpike road, so as to make the said
road pass through the town of Graceham, in Frederick county, any
thing in the act to which this is a supplement to the contrary notwithstanding.

                                    CHAP. LXXXIV.
An Act to authorise the Levy Court of Washington County to provide

Passed Jan. 16, 1817.
    WHEREAS it is represented by the clerk of Washington county
court, that in consequence of the decayed and ruinous condition of
the apartment of the court-house in which his records and other
papers are kept, the said papers and records are in danger of being
