    7.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That if the said bridge shall not be
commenced within nine months, and completed within twenty months
from the passage of this act, that then and in that case all the privileges 
hereby granted shall cease.

                                     CHAP. LXXXII.
An Act to authorise the making of Sewers in the Western Precincts
                    of Baltimore.

    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
Henry Payson, William Lorman, Robert C. Long, John Davis
and George Milleman, be and they are hereby appointed commissioners,
to cause such sewer or sewers to be made, under, through
or across, any of the public streets in the city or precincts of Baltimore,
north of the south side of Church-street, and between
Courtland-street and Jones's Falls, as in their opinion will conduce
to the healthiness or beneficial improvement of the grounds
lying adjacent thereto.
Commissioners appointed.
    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said commissioners shall apportion
the expenses incurred by the making of said sewer or
sewers, to and amongst the several proprietors of lots benefitted
thereby; which apportionment shall be a lien on the said lots, and
they shall cause the amount thereof, if necessary, to be collected
by the clerk of the western precincts, who shall be allowed therefor
a commission of six per cent. and he shall have the same power
to enforce the collection as in other cases.

    3.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That should vacancies occur in said
board of commissioners in any manner, the remaining members
are authorised to supply the same, and any three or more commissioners
shall be competent to exercise all the powers and to
perform all the duties by this act contemplated or required.

                                    CHAP. LXXXIII.
An Act to lay out and make public a Road in Cecil COunty.  Lib. TH.

Passed Jan 12, 1816.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
Jeremiah Taylor, Thomas Bittle, senior, Josiah Alexander, Spencer
Biddle and William Boulden, be and they are hereby appointed
commissioners, and they, or a majority of them, are hereby authorised
to survey, lay out and make public, a road thirty feet wide,
beginning at the south east corner of a tract of land called Nole
Wood, in the present road leading from Elkton to Back Creek,
and running with the line of Nole Wood to Elk river.
