CHAP. XIII.
An Act to revive and make valid the Proceedings of the Orphans
Court of Saint Mary's County.

1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
all and every bill, process and proceeding, in the orphans court of
Saint Mary's county, and which have been discontinued by reason
of the said court not being held or adjourned according to law,
shall be revived and continued, and be as valid as if the said court
had not been discontinued, and shall stand and remain in the same
state and condition as they would have stood had the said court
been regularly held and adjourned. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That all proceedings
and acts of the
said court which have occurred since the discontinuance thereof,
shall be and they are hereby made as valid and effective as if the
said court had been held and adjourned agreeably to law. |

An Act to lay out and make public a Road in Baltimore County.

1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
Thomas Johnson, Thomas Hillen, Edward Johnson, Nicholas M.
Bosley and Joshua Stevenson, be and they are hereby appointed
commissioners, and they, or a majority of them, are hereby authorised
and empowered to lay out, open and make, at the expense
of the petitioners, a road thirty feet in width, from the Warren
Manufactory now erecting on Gunpowder Falls, to the York
turnpike road, in the best practicable discretion, to intersect said
turnpike road, the nature of the ground will admit of, and with as
little inconvenience to the landholders as possible; and the said
road, when so laid out, and the valuation herein after directed to
be made shall have taken place, and a plot thereof made out and
returned to the clerk of Baltimore county court, to be recorded
amongst the records of said county, shall for ever thereafter be
deemed a public highway, and kept in repair as other public roads
are in said county. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said commissioners,
or a
majority of them, shall ascertain and value what damages may be
sustained by any person or persons through whose land the said
road shall pass, taking into consideration the advantages and disadvantages,
if any, and the same when so assessed shall be paid,
or secured to be paid, by the persons applying for said road, to the |
