An Act to provide for transcribing certain Wills, and a Book of

in the Register's Office of Saint Mary's County.

WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly,
that some
of the records of wills, and a book of inventories, in Saint Mary's
county, are in a ruinous situation, and daily liable to destruction;
therefore, |
Preamble. |
1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
it shall and may be lawful for the justices of the orphans court of
Saint Mary's county, and they are hereby empowered and required,
to cause to be transcribed by the register of wills of said county, in
good leather bound books, to which fair and regular alphabets shall
be prefixed, to all such wills and book of inventories as they, or a
majority of them, in their judgment, may deem necessary and proper
to be transcribed. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said register
shall be entitled
to receive ten cents per side for all such wills and book of inventories
by him transcribed, as a compensation for his services for
transcribing the same. |

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the levy court
of Saint Mary's
county may and shall levy on the assessable property of said county,
such sum of money as the fees for transcribing said wills and
book of inventories may amount to, to be collected and paid over
by the sheriff of Saint Mary's county to the register aforesaid. |

4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That this act shall
continue in force
until the first day of February eighteen hundred and sixteen, and
no longer. |

An Act to make public a Road in Somerset County. Lib.

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
the road in Somerset county leading from Josiah Broughton's,
through the land of Lazarus Cottman, and from thence to continue
such route as shall be ascertained and agreed upon by Littleton
Dennis, senior, Isaac M. Adams and Lazarus Cottman, or any two
of them, until the said road shall intersect the main road leading
from Princess-Anne to Stephen's Ferry, be and the same is hereby
declared, deemed and taken to be, a public road for ever, and shall
be kept up and repaired as other public roads are in said county. |

CHAP. CXV.
An Act to authorise the Levy Court of Baltimore County to levy and
assess a sum of money for the purposes therein mentioned.

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
the levy court of Baltimore county be and they are hereby authorised
and directed, to levy and assess on the assessable property
of Baltimore county, a sum of money not exceeding twenty-five |
