or seminary aforesaid, and the education of youth, and to appoint
such person or persons as they, or a majority of them, may think
proper, to be a teacher or teachers of the said school. |

6. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said trustees,
and their successors,
or a majority of them, shall meet at least twice in each
year, at such time as shall be appointed by their own ordinances,
in order to examine the progress of the students and scholars, and
to hear and determine on all complaints and appeals, and all matters
touching the discipline of the seminary, and the good and
wholesome execution of their ordinances, on all which occasions a
majority at least of the trustees shall compose a quorum. |

to be erected. |
7. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the Buckingham
Academy shall
be fixed and erected on the lot of ground now used and held for a
school, between the villages of Berlin and Poplar Town, in Worcester
county. |
Property vested
in trustees. |
8. AND BE IT ENACTED, That all and singular
the property,
real, personal or mixed, belonging to the Buckingham Academy,
or held in trust for the use of the same, shall be and the same is
hereby vested in the said trustees for the purposes aforesaid. |

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
the justices of the levy court of Worcester county shall be authorised,
and they are hereby directed and empowered, at their levy
court annually, so long as they shall see cause, to levy on the assessable
property of said county a sum of money not exceeding
forty dollars, for the support and maintenance of Charles Dashiell,
of Charles, of said county, and the same, when collected, shall be
paid by the collector to the said Charles Dashiell, of Charles, or
his order, for the purpose aforesaid. |

An Act for the relief of Elizabeth Christopher, of Worcester County.

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That
the justices of the levy court of Worcester county shall be authorised,
and they are hereby directed and empowered, at their levy
court annually, so long as they shall see cause, to levy on the assessable
property of said county a sum of money not exceeding
thirty dollars, for the support and maintenance of Elizabeth Christopher,
of said county, and the same, when collected, shall be paid
by the collector of said county to the said Elizabeth Christopher,
or to her order, for the purpose aforesaid. |
