                                LAWS OF MARYLAND.

to any person or persons whatever, for ninety-nine years, renewable
for ever; and to make, execute and acknowledge, all deeds necessary
for the leasing and demising of the said every third lot of
the said alms-house ground, reserving and making payable the
rent issuing therefrom, to the justices of the levy court of Baltimore
county, and their successors for ever, to be applied to the use
of the said county.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
judges, or any one judge of Kent county court, be and they are
hereby authorised and directed to extend to James Cruickshanks,
of Kent county, the benefit of the act of assembly passed at November
session eighteen hundred and five *, entitled, An act for
the relief of sundry insolvent debtors, and the several supplements
thereto, without requiring the said James Cruickshanks to produce'
the assent, in writing, of two thirds of his creditors, upon his complying
with the other requisites of the said act.

An Act for the relief of Rachel Mewshaw, of Anne-Arundel County.

Preamble.     WHEREAS Rachel Mewshaw, of Anne-Arundel county, by her
petition to this general assembly hath set forth, that she is very
poor, seventy-six years of age, and from the numerous infirmities
attendant on old age, is rendered totally incapable of procuring a
support by labour, and praying that a law may pass authorising
the levy court of Anne-Arundel county to assess and levy a sum
of money for her support, therefore,

for her support.
    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the justices of the levy court of Anne-Arundel county, shall and
they are hereby empowered, at their levy court annually, so long
as they shall see cause, to assess and levy on the assessable property 
of said county, a sum of money not exceeding thirty dollars
for the support and maintenance of Rachel Mewshaw, and the
money when collected, shall be paid by the collector of said county
to said Rachel Mewshaw or to her order.
