                                        CHAP. CIX.
An Act for the relief of Wealthy Beachbord, of Worcester County, and
                her Infant Children.

Passed Dec. 27.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
justices of the levy court of Worcester county shall be, and they
are hereby directed and empowered, at their levy court annually,
so long as they shall see cause, to assess and levy on the assessable
property of said county, a sum of money not exceeding forty dollars,
nor less than twenty dollars, for the support and maintenance
of Wealthy Beachbord of said county, and her infant children; and
that the same be collected annually by the collector of said county,
and paid to such person or persons as the levy court of said county
shall or may direct.

                                        CHAP. CX.
An Act to lay out and open a Road from Harrison Haddaway's Land,
    to the main Road leading from Easton to Knapp's Narrows, in

    Talbot County.  Lib. TH. No. 3, fol. 127.

Passed Dec. 27.
    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
William Sears, John Kemp, and Francis Wrightson, or a majority
of them, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay off a road from
the plantation of Harrison Haddaway, not exceeding twenty feet
wide, in the direction they may think most convenient and advisable,
to the main road leading from Easton to Knapp's narrows;
Provided, that the same shall not be laid out to run over any orchard,
garden, yard or meadow, without the consent of the owner
thereof; and when said road is laid off and cleared, causewayed,
and made in every respect fit for public road, at the expense of
the petitioners who are interested in the same, and the said commissioners
shall make out and return a plot of the said to the clerk
of Talbot county court, to be recorded among the records of said
county, the said road shall for ever thereafter be deemed a public
highway, and be kept in repair as other roads may be in said
county.

Proviso.
    2.  AND BE IT ENACTED, That the said commissioners, or a majority
of them, shall ascertain and value the damages that may be
sustained by any person or persons whose lands the said road shall
pass through, taking into consideration the advantages and disadvantages,
if any; and the same when so assessed shall be paid, or
secured to be paid, by the person or persons who may apply to have
the said road laid out, to the person or persons who may be entitled
to the same, before he or they shall proceed to open the said road.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
justices of the levy court of Baltimore county, or a majority of
them, be and they are hereby authorised and empowered to lease
and demise every third lot of the alms-house ground, which have
been laid out, and which have not been leased by virtue of the act
to which this is a supplement, upon the usual terms and conditions,
