An act for the relief of sundry insolvent debtors, and the several
supplements thereto, without compelling him to produce any evidence 
of his having resided within the state of Maryland for the
two years last previous to his application for the benefit thereof, in
the same manner as if he had actually resided within this state,
agreeably to the provisions of the said act, and the several supplements
thereto.

                        of Tobacco.

    WHEREAS James Calhoun, senior, of the city of Baltimore, hath,
by his petition to this general assembly represented, that the warehouse
by him erected and contracted for with the justices of the
levy court for Baltimore county, in virtue of the powers vested in
them by an act, entitled, An additional supplement to an act †, entitled,
An act to regulate the inspection of tobacco, passed at November
session seventeen hundred and ninety-nine (a), has been
found to be insufficient to contain the quantity of tobacco sent for
storage to the said warehouse, in consequence whereof the said
James Calhoun, senior, hath erected other buildings adjacent, and
adjoining to the said warehouse, for the purpose of receiving, storing
and inspecting tobacco, which have been used as such by the inspector
thereof:  And whereas, it hath been further represented, that
doubts are entertained by the levy court of Baltimore county,
whether under the provisions of the said act, the said additional
buildings can be considered as part of the said warehouse; and it
appearing reasonable that the said additional buildings should be
considered as part of the said warehouse, therefore,

    (a)  Ch. 87, which was repealed by 1801, ch. 63, together with the act of 1789,
ch. 26.

    1.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
if the levy court of Baltimore county, or the majority of them,
shall approve of the building or buildings adjoining or adjacent to
the said warehouse, built by the said James Calhoun, senior, as
convenient and safe for the inspection of tobacco, in such case the
said building or buildings, or such thereof as may be so approved
of, shall thereafter be taken and considered as part of the said
warehouse, subject to the same inspection, and entitled to the same
storage, as the said warehouse now is.

                                        CHAP. LIII.
An Act for the relief of George Page, an Insolvent Debtor.  Lib.
                                   TH. No. 3, fol. 68.

Passed Dec. 27.
    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
judges, or any one judge of Prince-George's county court, in the 
recess of the said court, be and they, or any one of them, is hereby
authorised and directed to extend to George Page the benefit and
relief of the act of assembly passed at November session, eighteen
hundred and five ‡, entitled, An act for the relief of sundry insolvent
debtors, and the supplements thereto, without compelling him
to give the full notice to his creditors required by law in similar
cases; and to extend and afford to the said George Page, all the
Benefit of insolvent
laws extended
to him.
