CHAP. 38.

                                LAWS OF MARYLAND.

and the said jurors, when so met, and having each first taken
an oath before some justice of the peace, that he will, without favour,
affection, prejudice or partiality, assess the damages sustained
by the person or persons at whose request such inquisition shall
be taken, by reason of opening the said road through his, her or 
their land, shall thereupon proceed to assess and value the damages
accordingly, taking into consideration the advantages and
disadvantages, if any; and such inquisition and valuation shall be
final and conclusive between the parties respectively.

An Act to authorise and empower the Levy Court of Anne-Arundel
    County, to assess and levy a sum of money for the purpose therein
    mentioned.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the justices of the levy court of Anne-Arundel county shall, and
they are hereby directed, at their levy court annually, to assess
and levy on the assessable property of said county, a sum of money
not exceeding thirty dollars, for the support and maintenance of
Elizabeth Williams, of said county, and that the same be collected
annually by the collector of Anne-Arundel county, and paid to the
said Elizabeth Williams, or to her order.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That it
shall and may be lawful for Baltimore county court, or any one of
the judges thereof, during the recess of said court, to extend to the
said Lemuel Warfield, all the benefits, advantages and provisions
of the act passed at November session eighteen hundred and five*,
entitled, An act for the relief of sundry insolvent debtors, and
its several supplements, without the said Lemuel Warfield being required
to produce to the said court, or to the said judge, in the recess
of the said court, the assent in writing, of so many of his
creditors as have due to them in amount two thirds of the debts
owing by the said Lemuel Warfield; and that the said court, or one
of the judges thereof during the recess of the same, may extend to
