1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
the levy court of Somerset county, be and they are hereby authorised,
empowered and directed, to dispose of the warehouse lots in
Somerset county, together with the appertenances belonging thereto,
at public sale, on or before the first day of June next, upon such
terms and conditions as they in their wisdom shall deem expedient,
giving at least four weeks notice at each respective place, of such
sale. |

CHAP. 26.
Levy court authorised
to dispose of
the warehouse lots. |
2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the levy court,
or a majority of
them, upon the sale of those lots, are hereby directed, upon the
payment of the purchase money, to execute and acknowledge in the
usual form, a deed or deeds to the purchaser or purchasers for the
same, and that the deed or deeds so executed, shall operate to convey
the interest of the said county, in and to the said warehouse
lots so sold, to the purchaser or purchasers, according to the true
intent and meaning of the said deed or deeds. |

An Act for the relief of William Amos, Joshua Amos and Aquila Amos,

WHEREAS William Amos, Joshua Amos and Aquila Amos,
of
Harford county, have represented, by their petition to this general
assembly, that a certain road in said county, authorised to be
opened by an act of the general assembly, passed at November session
eighteen hundred and nine (a), was laid out through their
lands, to their great injury; and considering the damages allowed
them by the commissioners inadequate to the injury which they
have sustained, have prayed that a law may pass authorising them
to summon a jury to ascertain said damages; and the prayer appearing
reasonable, therefore,
(a) There are several acts passed
in 1809, respecting the roads in Harford county,
but it does not appear which is here referred to. |
