WHEREAS a difference of charging fees exists among
the several
attornies of the county courts; therefore, |

2. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this law, no attorney of any of the
county courts shall be authorised to charge more, as an attorney
of such court, than the sum of three dollars and thirty-three cents
and one third of a cent in any one suit. |

WHEREAS Califf Warfield, of Anne-Arundel county,
by his petition
to this general assembly hath set forth, that he is far advanced
in years, blind, and labouring under the infirmities of old age,
which render him incapable of supporting himself and family; and
the prayer of the petitioner appearing reasonable, therefore, |

of Maryland, That
the levy court of Anne-Arundel county shall and they are hereby
empowered at their levy court annually, so long as they shall see
cause, to assess and levy on the assessable property of said county,
a sum of money not exceeding thirty dollars, for the support
and maintenance of the said Califf Warfield, and that the same be
collected annually by the collector of Anne-Arundel county, and
by him paid to the said Califf Warfield, or his order. |

BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland,

the justices of the levy court of Worcester county are hereby authorised
and empowered, and they shall at their next levy court,
and at their levy court annually, so long as they shall see
cause, to levy on the assessable property of said county a sum
of money not exceeding thirty dollars, for the support and maintenance
of John Parker of said county, and the same shall be collected
and paid over to said John Parker, or his order, in the same
manner as other county charges are collected and paid in such
county. |
