appointed by the act to which this is a supplement, to survey,
mark and bound, a public road in Caroline county, beginning
at or near James Pearce's, and running through the lands of said
Pearce and others, to intersect the road at or near Bullock-Town,
in said county, have surveyed, marked and bounded said road: And
whereas the act to which this is a supplement, prohibits your petitioners
from opening said road until first obtaining the assent of
the owner or owners of the land through which the said road is
laid down, and there being minor's land through which the said
road is laid; therefore, |

2. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
the road beginning at or near James Pearce's and running through
the lands of said Pearce, and others, to intersect the road at or
near Bullock-Town, in Caroline county, as surveyed, marked and
bounded by the commissioners appointed by the act to which this
is a supplement, when made sufficiently passable, and received as
is directed by the original act, shall be deemed and taken as a public
road for ever thereafter, and shall be kept up and repaired as
other public roads in said county are. |

3. AND BE IT ENACTED, That Nehemiah Townsend,
Nathan
Whitby and Samuel Colbreath, be and they are hereby appointed
commissioners, and they, or a majority of them, shall ascertain
and value what damages may be sustained by any person or persons
whose lands the said road shall pass through, taking into consideration
the advantages and disadvantages, if any, and the same,
when so assessed, shall be paid, or secured to be paid, by the person
or persons who have applied to have the said road laid out and
opened as aforesaid, to the person or persons entitled to receive the
same. |

4. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the commissioners
of review hereby
appointed shall have an allowance of two dollars for each day
they shall attend in discharge of their duties herein imposed. |

5. AND BE IT ENACTED, That so much of the
act to which this
is a supplement as is contrary to, or inconsistent with, this act, be
and the same is hereby repealed. |

WHEREAS by an act of assembly passed at November
session,
eighteen hundred and five*, certain commissioners were appointed
to straighten the road from the north end of Howard-street until it
intersects what was then called the Mill Road, but which is now
turnpiked by the Falls turnpike road company: And whereas sundry
inhabitants of Baltimore county have prayed that a law may
pass to authorise a lottery or lotteries to raise a sum of money for
the purpose of paving that part of the road which runs through the
alms-house ground; therefore, |
