( 97 ) June 10th. 1691 - - - - - - - - - Crawford doth Covenant and promise to find and allow to his said Apprentice Suffitient apparel, meat drink, washing washing and lodging, and other necessaries meet and convenient for an Apprentice dureing the tearm aforesaid and when the said shall be fully expired and ended, the said Lawrence doth promise to give the said Bethia One Yearling heifer, and to discharge her from a debt of three hundred pounds of tobacco, which she now oweth him in wittness whereof the parties aforesd have hereunto Sett their hands and Seals ye day and year above written Signed Sealed and delivered Bethia: Cunningham ? This Indenture taken and acknowledged by the above written Bethia Cunningham. the day and year above written before me Edmund: Howard John: Emmett this day in Open Court assigns up his Executorshipp of Benjamin: Keizers Estate, to mr. That your Petioners Sonn (viz) John: Gunby now at John: Kirks, whither your Petioners went & demanded his said Sonn. but the said Kirk did most grosly and absurdly abuse your petioner, telling him that he would not deliver him his said Sonn. which is to the great grief and trouble of your Petioner he being so deprived of of his greatest felicity therefore humbly craves, that your worps will please to grant Order for delivery of your Petioners Sonn & your Petitioner as in duty bound shall ever pray. The aforesd Petition being read. it is Ordered by this Court that John: Kirk appear next Court to shew cause (if any he have why he doth not deliver to the said ffrancis his sonn as abovesd. Wm: Denson being fined for not attending this Court being Sumoned as a Jury man.
