King. - - - - - - - - - the same should have been inserted in fo: 55. Order. That Samuel: Spencer Servant to Major Henry: Tripp remain with Coll. David:Browne till his Master or Order come for the sd Spencer . . - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - To the worll Court of Somerset County. - - - - The humble petion of James: Round humbly sheweth That whereas your petioners Brother Wm: Round was Ordered by the Court to goe over the Bay with mr. Wm. Brereton the last winter upon some business relating to the Peace of the County and yr Petioners Said Brother not being in the Country the last Leavy Court, your petioner did altogeather forgett to put in for the same; my desire therefore is, that your worps would be pleased to take the same into your Serious - Consideracon and that an Order may be entered upon Record for so much as your worps shall think reasonable to be allowed next Leavy Court. and your Petioner as in duty bound shall ever pray. &c. ------------------ The abovesd Petion being read and Considered. This Court hath Ordered that four hundred pounds of Tobacco be allowed to mr Wm: Round out of the next County Leavy. - - - - - - - - - - - - - To the worll. Comrs. of Somerset County the humble Petion of Elinor Harris humbly sheweth &c. ------- That your Petioner is a very poor ancient woman and utterly uncapable of getting her living your Petionr humbly prayes your worps charity without which your Petioner will undoubtedly Perish and as in duty bound shall pray. The abovesd Petion being read is Considered. and this Court has Ordered the Petioner Elinor Harris four hundred pounds of tobacco, to be pd the sd Elinor by mr ffrancis Jenckins, which sd Sum of 400lb tob. is due and owing to this County by the sd Jenckins. William: ffenton Mercht.plt Somerset County Ssc. Thomas:Williams of this County Planter was attached to answer unto agt William: ffenton of the same County Mercct. in an action upon the Case. - - - - - - - - - Thomas: Wlliams. deft. And whereupon the plt by James:Sangster his Attorney Comes and sayes that the said - - - - - - - - - - - deft is become and stands indebted unto the plt in the full and just Sum of three hundred & five pounds of good Sound sweet mertable. Porke being for Severall goods and comodities recd by the deft, which sd Sum of 305.lb of Porke, the deft did faithfully Assume and promise the plt to satisfie and pay yet he the said deft fraudulently and craftily intending to deceive the plt thereof hath hitherto denyed paymt and yet doth deny to the plts great loss and damage to the value of six hundred & ten pounds of like porke and thereupon brings this suite. - - - - - - - - - - - - - pled. Jno. Doe Then was this following accot produced Rich Roe. July: y 28th. 1690 Thomas: Williams Dr. to mr Wm: ffenton Merchant in Porke. To 3. gallons of Rum at 35lb pr gallan. ---------- 105 To 32lb. of Suger at 5lb pr pound. ---------------- 160 August y 4th. To 8.pound of Suger at 5lb pr pound. ------ 040 305 The sd Williams Confessed the debt, promising the Court to make speedy paymt No judgmt past thereon. |
