June 11th. 1691 ( 110 ) - - - - - - - - Subscribed the day and year last said. Nevertheless the sd deft. fraudulently and Craftily intending to deceived ye plt of the sd Sum of 621: pounds of tobacco doth deny to pay though often thereunto required, wherefore the plte sayes he is damnified and hath losse to the value of 1242 lb.of like tobacco in Caske,and hereupon brings this suite &c Sangster. pr Quer. pled prsec. Jno. Doe Rich Roe Know all men by these presets that I William: Morris of Eliz. Citty County do acknowledge to owe and in and stand justly indebted unto Coll. Charles: Morrison my Heirs, Extrs. Admrs and Assigns the full and just Sum of Six hundred twenty and One pounds of good Merchantable tobacco and Caske due to be paid in Some Convenient place in the foresd County at or upon the 10th. day of October ensueing the date hereof and that for a valuable Consideration already by me received. I the sd Morris do further Oblige my Self my Heirs as aforesd unto the said Coll. Charles: Morrison. his Heirs, Execcutors, Admrs and Assigns, do bind over all my Cropp of Corne & tobb. that is to be, or shall be made by me or Caused to be made through my means upon my new dwelling Plantation for Security of true payment to be made of the aforesd Six hundred twenty and One pounds of good tobb. & Caske at the time prefixt wittness my hand and seal. this 15th of May Ano. Domm. 1678 Signed Sealed and delivered William: Morris. ? Sealed in the presence of us. ----- } Peter:Brown his Tho: T Sheppard I do Assign the within Bill of Wm: Morris unto my good friend mr Solomon marke Robbinson. or Order.with warranty to be due as wittness my hand this 25th of July 1680: Charles: Morrison Sr Since the above Order was not satisfied as above expressed I do now Order the payment hereof unto my worthy friend George: Layfield Exqre, his Maties Comptroller, Surveyor Generll. of Marland this 9th.day of Decembr. 1685 Ch: Moryson. Wittness: John: Loader John: Birtt. I will pay this within mentioned Bill in Somerset County in Maryland the 10th. November: 1686 William: Morris. ------------------ Test. Will: Stevens. The whole proceedings being left to the judgment of this Court, who Orders? grants Order agt sd Morris according to Declaracon (viz) for 621 lb tob. June 11th. 1691. John: Bishop having attended four dayes at your worps Court as Evidence for ffrancis Joyce, agt James Miner craves your worps Order for attendance and your Petioner as in duty bound shall eve pray &c.
