(11) 9ber. 15th 1690 - - - - - - - - Which said Jury being now returned, brings into Court this following Verdict read in the audience of the sd Plunket (Viz) Wee the Jurors do find Rich: Plunkett guilty of drunkenness, breach of the Peace, by fighting Cursing and abuseing Some of their Maties Justices for this County. Espetially Coll. Browne at the house of Andrew Whittington Innholder the 13th. day of this Instant November . Samuel: Collins foreman Where upon this Court Orders that the sd Richard: Plunkett give security for his good behaviour, Order likewise he be fined for being drunk, breach of the Peace fighting & cursing, according to law. as also for his abuse to the Justices he is not to receive corporall punishmt. viz ten lashes upon his bare back well laid on; which sd punishmst. by his Submission was remitted . ------ And therfore came the sd Rich: Plunket and in Open Court did by recognizances confess him Selfe to be indebted unto their Maties. King. William: and Queen Mary. in the Sum of One pounds Sterling money of England, due to be leavied on his goods chattels and tennemts for their Maties uses. Likewise came the sd Plunkets Securities (viz) Rich Chambers, John: Webb and Peter: Whaples and did acknowledge themselves , in like manner to be indebted in the sum of fifty pound sterling apeece to be leavied as above for their Maties. uses &c. The Condition of which Recognizance is Such that if the above bound Richard Plunkett be of the good behaviour and abearance to all their Maties. leige people of this profence do but more espetially to their Maties Justices of the Peace for this County as also pay all fines and fees, that then the Recognizance to be void, and of none effect, Otherwayes to be and remain in full power force and vertue ----- Order. The aforesd Jury in folio (10) to attend as Jury men the next Court viz the second tuesday in December anno. 1690 being a Court of adjournment - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Order Like mr. Andrew: Whittington pay sd Jury upon Rich: Plunketts tryall 120 pounds of tobacco, being due to sd Jury . - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - William: Morris, as in folio 4: being comitted into the Sheriffs Custody. Comes into Court and pr Recognizance, doth confess him Selfe to be indebted to their Maties in 40lb sterl. money to levied on his good Chattells lands and tenements for their Maties uses &c likewise came his securities Rich: Chambers, and Peter Whaples and pr. Recog. of 20,. a peece, did in like manner confess them Selves as above, to the uses as above &c. The Condition of which Recognizance is Such that if the above bound Wm: Morris be of the good behaviour and abearance to all their Maties leige people of this Province, but more espetially to their Maties Justices of this County as also shall pay Court fees yt then the Recog void, otherwayes to remain in full force and vertue . - - - - - - - |
