Walter: Lane appear next Court, to answer what shall be objected agt him Concerning the Estate of Josias Seaward deceased. - - - - - - - - Order. mr, Edmund: Howard be impowered to take care and Secure (what may be Secured of the Estate belonging to Josias: Seaward deceased, till such times as Walter Lane appear at our Court. viz. the second tuesday in december Anno. 1690 Order. Sumons for all those Justices that sitt in Court the 11th of June Anno. 1690 that they appear in Court the second tuesday in December next. It is the Courts advise, the mr. Andrew: Whittington, do cause the Inhabitants in mr Revells neck, to clear all horse and foot roads in sd Neck . - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Order That mr Samuel: Hopkins be joynd equall with the Overseers of Mattapony hundred to amend these wayes . - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Order that the worke due upon Record from Sarah Ward, be given to Capt. Thomas: Clifton this County Cordweiner, was attached to answer agt. unto Lawrence Crawford & Sarah his wife Admrx of ye Estate of Jno Thomas: Clifton. deft. White. late of this County decd in a plea that he render unto the plt the Sum of four hundred fifty and six pounds of tobacco which to him he Oweth and unjustly deteineth &c. And whereupon the plt by James: Sangster his Attorney Comes and sayes that ye sd deft, upon the eight day of October Ano. Dom.1683 became indebted unto the sd John:White decd in y full & just Sum of 456lb of tobacco in caske as appears by spetialty under the hand of the deft bearing date the day and year abovesd wherein he did bind himselfe his heirs Exteres Admrs, unto the sd John: White deceased his heirs, Exetrs or Assignes for the true payment of the same but the sd deft fraudulently & craftily intending to deceive ye plt of ye aforesd sum of 456lb of tobacco the same hath not paid, whereby the plt sayes he is damnified and hath losse to the value of nine hundred and twelve pounds of tobacco, and hereupon brings this suit.
