The bill entitled an Act for the promotion and improve-
ment of Agriculture and the Mechanical and Household
Arts, in the State of Maryland,
Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the
day,
Being the report of the Joint Select Committee on the
claim of the State against the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad
Company,
Mr. Stone mowed to postpone all other orders of the day,
and that the House proceed to the consideration of
