Mr. Staylor submitted the following order:
Ordered, That the Printer be instructed to furnish to this
House, by Friday next, the report of the Committee on the
investigation of the cause of the destruction of the Ice Boats
Chesapeake and Maryland.
Which was adopted,.
Mr. Hurtt submitted the following order:
Ordered, That the use of this Halll for Monday evening
next, be tendered to the Hon. Janus T Earle, who has been
invited by a majority of the members of this Body, to deliver
an address upon the subject of Immigration to the State of
Maryland.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Stone submitted the following order:
Ordered, That the Printer be directed to print bills in pre-
ference to other matter, for the purpose of facilitating the;
business of this House.
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Linthicum,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Linthicum, German and
dark, of Montgomery, to introduce a bill to authorize the
County Commissioners. of Howard county to re-assess in their
discretion, property in said county.
On motion of Mr. Routzahn,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary, to
introduce a bill to authorize Wm. H. Young and Daniel
Keatauver, Executors of the last will and testament of John
Young of P., late of Frederick county, deceased, to pay over
to Eliza 8. Sidell, certain money bequeathed in last will and,
testament.
On motion of Mr. Roach,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means,
to report a bill entitled an Act to add the following sections
to Article XIX. of the Code of Public Local Laws of Somer-
set county, sub-title Retailers, and to be sections 149 160,
151, 152, 153, 154, 155., 156, 257 and 158.
On motion oi Mr. Griswold.
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to alter and amend an Act to incorporate the
Trustees of the Male Free School of Baltimore.
