A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact section 20 of
an Act pasted at the present session of the Generally Assem^
bly of Maryland, entitled an Act to regulate the inspection,
of tobacco.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Phillips, Chairman of a Select Committee, to whom,
was referred
The hill entitled an Act for the better protection of birds
in Frederick county, together with proposed Senate amends
ments,
Reported bach the same, when,
On motion of Mr. Phillips,
The Senate amendments were non-concurred in.
Mr. Phillips submitted the following message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
March 19, 1872.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We have received the bill, returned by your Honorable
Body, entitled an Act for the better protection of birds in
Frederick county, with proposed amendments. We have
non-concurred in the amendments proposed by the Senate,
and respectfully ask the appointment of a joint committee of
conference, consisting of two on the part of the House, and
one on the part of the Senate, to consider said bill.
We have appointed, on the part of the House Messrs. Phil-
lips and Henkle.

Chief Clerk.
Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.
The bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections 82, 83, 84, 85
and, 87 of Article XI. of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Frederick County," sub-title "Frederick," and to
enact the following sections and sub-section* in lieu of, and
as substitutes therefor,
Was read a second time and ordered to he engrossed for a
third reading.
