The bill, entitled an Act to repeal chapter 141 of Act of 1870, section 18, which repeals and- re-enacts section 18 of Article LXXIII, of the Code of Public General LAWS, titled "Penitentiary," and re-enact the same so as to read as follows, Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill, entitled an Act ceding to the United States of America the jurisdiction over certain lands in the Potomac River, in Prince George's county, with the water-rights and other rights pertaining thereto, for the site of Fort Foote, Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for & third reading.
