tea hours in each day, in any cotton or woolen factory in this
State, tinder their, his, or her control or management, shall
forfeit and pay a fine of fifty dollars for every such offence;
said fine to be recoverable by indictment in any Court, or be-
fore any Justice of the Peace, having jurisdiction lath® City

1870, section 18, which repeals and- re-enacts section 18 of
Article LXXIII, of the Code of Public General LAWS, titled
"Penitentiary," and re-enact the same so as to read as
follows,

third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act ceding to the United States of
America the jurisdiction over certain lands in the Potomac
River, in Prince George's county, with the water-rights and
other rights pertaining thereto, for the site of Fort Foote,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
& third reading.
The, bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 273, 274, 275,
276, 277, 278 and &79, of Article IV., of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Harbors,"
and to re-enact the same with amendment,
