and Somerset Railroad.
Which was read a first time,
Mr. Harig, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably a bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Appeal Tax
Court, of Baltimore City, to hear the appeal of H. K. Hazle-
hurst.
Which was read a first time.
The bill, entitled an Act to amend the Charter of the
Manor Mining and Manufacturing Company, passed January
Session, 1850, chapter 166,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act authorizing the County Commis-sioners for Frederick county, to subscribe to the capital stock
of the Liberty and Frederick Turnpike Company of Freder-
ick county,
Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a,
third leading.
The bill, entitled an Act; to repeal an Act, entitled an Act
to repeal sections five, six and eight of chapter twenty-four,
passed at December Session, eighteen hundred and thirty-
five, entitled an Act to authorize William Krebs, Richard.
Linthicum and William Linthicum, to build a bridge over
Gwynn's Falls, at or near where the present bridge stands,
known as the "Long Bridge," and to enact substitutes there-
for, passed at January Session, eighteen hundred and. sixty-
seven, chapter ninety-four,
"Was read a third time, and
On motion of Mr. McColgan,
The further consideration thereof was postponed,
And the bill made the order of the day for tomorrow
(Thursday,) at 1 1/2 o'clock, P. M.
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
January 17th, 1872.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :
We have received your message inviting this Body to con-
vene with the House of, Delegates in Joint Assembly at 12
