Which waa read a first time. Also, favorably, A bill, entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-ments the second section of the Act of 1870, chapter 441. Which was fend a first time. Mr. Streett, (chairman of ft Select Committee, reported' favorably, A bill, entitled, an Act to repeal the 6th, 8th, 14th and 22nd sections of the Act entitled an Act to incorporate the- Maryland Central Railroad Company, passed at the January- Session, 1867, and to re-enact the same with amendments. Which was read a first time. Mr. Markland, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported- favorably, A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to issue additional certificates of debt,. or bonds of the City of Baltimore, to an amount not exceed- ing three millions of dollars, for the purpose of increasing its water supply. Which was read a first time. Mr. Porter, Chairman of a Select Committee, to whom was referred The Senate bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Agricul- tural and Mechanical Society of Allegany county and West Virginia and Pennsylvania to issue additional coupon bonds and secure the payment thereof8" Reported back the same with proposed amendments. AMENDMENTS PROPOSED: Section 1, line 5, after the word "bearing" strike out the- word "eight" and insert "six." Section 1, line 6, after the word "of" strike out the word "fifteen" and insert "twenty." Sec. 2, line 2, after the word "bonds" insert the words "or-so much thereof as may be necessary or required."
