A bill entitled an Act to prohibit the sale or gift of any
intoxicating Hours in Tyaskin District, being District No.
3, of Wicomico county, except in certain cases therein pro-
vided.
"Which was read a first time.
Mr. Franklin, Chairman of a Select Committed, repotted
favorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Town
Commissioners of Newtown to endorse the bonds of the Wor-
cester and Somerset Railroad Company to the amount of five
thousand dollars.
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Turner, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported fa-
favorably,
A bill. entitled an Act to repeal sub-section 941, passed
January Session, 1870, relating to Baltimore county.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Spencer, Chairman of a Select, Committee, reported
favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to forbid a member of the General
Assembly of Maryland, or other officers of the State holding
any other State office of profit or trust created, or to be
created by the Governor and General Assembly, or by any
law relating to the State of Maryland, and to forbid .his
being interested directly, or indirectly, in any contract to
which the State is a party.
Which was read a first time.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to prevent the enclosing and other
obstructing the streets, lanes and alleys in the town of
Franklin, in Baltimore county.
Which was read a first time.
Also, submitted the following
REPORT.
The Committee to whom was referred an order of the
House or delegates, to ascertain whether it consists with the
official oath taken by a member of the General Assembly of
Maryland for him to be interested in the profits of the print-
ing contract, and whether it is sound public policy for any
member of either branch of the General Assembly, to be in-
terested in any contract made by the Body of which he is,
at the time thereof, a member, and also to ascertain- how the
accounts for printing are settled, how audited, and by what
