'Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
On motion of Mr. Waller,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Waller, Langrell and Mark-
land, to introduce a bill for the relief of Noah Webster.
On motion of Mr. McCosker,
Leave wag granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill, to incorporate the Baltimore Steam Dredging
Machine Company.
Mr. Shipley presented the following ;
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore through,
their wisdom and generosity have agreed and determined to
relieve Baltimore county of 23 1/2 square miles of territory, in-
cluding twenty-one millions oi taxable property, and hive
neglected or lost sight of an important improvement in the
City of Baltimore, leave is respectfully asked to report a bill ,
to authorize the County Commissioners of Baltimore county
to appoint a commissioner to take into consideration what
-steps are necessary to be taken for the improvement of Jones'
Falls.
And leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation
'to report said bill.
On motion of Mr. Stewart,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill, to amend the charter incorporating Christ's
Protestant Episcopal Church of Baltimore City,
On motion of Mr. Scott,
Leave was granted to the Prince George's delegation, to
introduce a bill, to authorize the County Commissioners of
'Prince George's county, to correct the assessment of certain
real estate in said county.
On motion of Mr. L. A. J. Lamotte,
Leave was granted to Messrs. T. H. Hamilton, Jamart,
Stewart, L. A. J. Lamotte, dark of Montgomery, Chapman
and Waller, to introduce a bill, to repeal sections 3, 4, 5, 9,
10, 12 and 13 of chapter 459, entitled an Act to repeal an
Act passed January Session 1870, of Registration, and enact
others in lieu thereof.
On motion of Mr. Wells,
Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel delegation to in-
troduce a bill, to authorize the County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel county, to re-assess the property of Joseph O.
Fowler.
On motion of Mr. Shipley,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Internal Improve-ments, to report a bill, supplemental to chapter 442, of the
