The further consideration thereof was informally postponed,
The bill, entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay the claims of Nathan Masters, Henry Kyd Douglas,
James Hopkins, W. L. Pfeiffer, John Murphy & Co., King
& Bro., John Sands, John W. Zadoc, P. Henry, Anne Gr.
Boss, N. O. Neighbours, Elias Spaulding, and Isaac K.
Lamer,
Was Bead a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act authorizing the Middletown and
Elkton Railroad Company, incorporated under the provisions
of the General Corporation Law, chapter 476 of the Laws of
1870, to charge a greater rate for tolls and transportation of
persons and freight than is allowed therein, and to form a
union with the Middletown and Elkton Railroad Company,
incorporated by the General Assembly of the State of Dela-
ware, by chapter 143 of the Laws of 1871, so that the capital
stock of the said companies respectively shall form a com-
mon stock,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to authorize and direct the Attor-
ney General to institute proceedings to forfeit the charter of
the Falls Road Turnpike Company, of Baltimore County,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a.
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to-
Article LXXVII. of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Railroads,"
Being upon a second reading, .
On motion of Mr. Linthicum, /
The further consideration thereof was postponed, and
Said bill recommitted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary.
The bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2 of chapter 187,
of the Acts of 1868, entitled an Act to incorporate the
Broadway and Locust Point Steam Ferry Company, of Mary-
land, and to use the wharf known as the County wharf, and to
repeal an Act entitled a supplement to said Act passed at Jan-
uary Session, 1870, chapter 436, so far as the same apply to
the use and occupation of the said County wharf, and to provide
for the extension and improvement of the said County wharf,
