The bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Washington City and Point Lookout Railroad Company, to extend their Railroad into the District of Columbia, and to run a line of steamers, Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed, for third reading. The bill, entitled an Act to appoint a Commissioner to re- vise and codify the Laws of the State of Maryland, relating to Crimes and Punishments, and also the Laws relating to the separate estate and property of married women, Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill, entitled an Act to provide for the appointment of Causers of Casks and Liquids, for the City of Baltimore, and providing for the duties thereof, Being upon a second reading. Mr. Smith submitted the following amendment : AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Section 1, line 3, strike out the word "Baltimore," and insert the words, "the State." Which was adopted. Mr. McColgan submitted the following amendment.; AMENDMENT PROPOSED. Strike out section 8. Which was adopted. and The bill, as amended, read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill, entitled an Act to repeal sections 46, 47, 65 and 56, of Article LXXV., of the Code of Public General Laws, titled "Pleadings, Practice, and Process," also the Act of the General Assembly passed at January Session, 1870, chap- ter 420, entitled an Act to amend section 3 of Article LXXV., of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to "Pleading, Practice and Process," by substituting the following in lieu thereof, Being upon a second, reading, |
