Calvert county, to hold a lot of grou' d containing twelve
acres, and to make valid a deed lor the same,
(The rules being suspended,) reported the same with pro-
posed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Insert in section 1, line 5, after the word "by," and "con-
veyed to," and strike out in line 5, after the word "vestry,"
the word "of" and insert "by," and after the word "Parker"
in said line, insert the following words, "and Mary Parker,
his wife by joint deed ;" strike out "section 2 ;" amend title
by striking out after the word "parsonage," the words, "and
to make valid a deed for the same."
Which were considered.
Mr. Langrell, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules
being suspended,) reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act granting the assent of the Legisla-
ture to a bequest made in the last will and testament of Lydia
Lowe, late of Wicomico county, deceased,' to George Lowe of
said county, for the use and benefit of the Old School Baptist
Church, in Salisbury, in said county
Which was read a first time.*
Mr. Banks, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules
being suspended,) reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to authorize the Governor to ap-
point two additional Justices of the Peace, one for Election
District, No. 1, and one for District No. 4, of Baltimore
county.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Coles, Chairman of a Select Committee, (the rules be-
ing suspended,) reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of the Act of
1870, chapter 77, incorporating the town of Frostburg, in
Allegany county, and re-enant the same with amendments.
Which was read a first time.
On motion of Mr. Linthicum,
The House proceeded to the consideration of the bill, enti-
tled an Act to add an additional section to Article XXVII.,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Costs," and to
be section 11, of said Article,
Which had been rejected this day, for want of a Constitu-
tional majority.
