The question recurring upon the unfavorable report of the Committee, On motion of Mr. Goldsborough, The unfavorable report of the Committee was non-con- curred in, when, On motion of Mr. Goldsborough, The bill was substituted for the unfavorable report. The bill was then read a first time. Mr. Travers, Chairman of the Committee on Inspections, reported favorably, A bill, entitled an Act to regulate the sale of firewood in the City of Baltimore, for the better protection of the pro- ducer and consumer. Which was read a first time. Also, A bill, entitled an Act to regulate the inspection of flour in the City of Baltimore. Which was read a first time. Mr. Groome, Chairman of the Committee on .Federal Relations, reported favorably, A bill, entitled an Act giving the consent of the State of Maryland to the purchase by the United States, of land within this State for public .purposes, and ceding jurisdiction thereof to the United States.
