Resolved, That the Mayor of the City be requested to com-
municate the foregoing resolution to the General Assembly
of Maryland, at an early day.

I hereby certify that the aforegoing is a true copy of Reso-
lution No. 96, approved the 14th day of March, 1872, the
original of which is now on file in this office. Given under
my hand and the Corporate Seal of the City of Baltimore,
this the 14th day of March, 1872.

On motion of Mr. Markland, (the rules being suspended,)
Leave was granted ,to introduce a bill to authorize the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to issue additional
water stock. w
Which was referred to a Select Committee consisting of
Messrs. Markland, Staylor, Foard, of Baltimore county,
Banks and Cooper.
The message of the Mayor, as above, and accompanying
resolutions were then referred to the Select Committee thus
constituted.
Mr. Street, (the rules being suspended,) presented
The petition of Nathan Grafton, and thirty -eight other
citizens of Harford county, praying the passage of a law to
authorize the County Commissioners of Harford county, to
subscribe to the capital stock of the Delta and Towsontown
Railroad Company.
Which was read and referred to the Harford delegation.
The bill, entitled an Act to prevent stock from running at
large in and around Reisterstown, in Baltimore county,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
The bill, entitled an Act regulating and taxing the own-
ers or dogs, for the protection of sheep in Frederick county,
Was read a second, time and ordered to be engrossed for-a
third reading.
On motion of Mr. Colton, of Baltimore City, the House
adjourned.
