AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Amend by inserting in the title, after the words " twenty-
one," the following.
"Entitled an Act to repeal Article XXVI. of the Code of
Public General Laws, and to enact a substitute therefor, and
to repeal section 22 of Article XVI.; sections 99 to 103 of the
same Article, and sections 33 to 43 of Article LXXXVIII.
of the Code of Public General Laws."
Said bill was then sent to the Senate.
Mr. Griswold, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to add a new section to Article IV.,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Baltimore City,"
said section to be entitled "Preservation and Proof of Legal
Notices."
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Stewart, from the Committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act to add an additional section to Ar-
ticle XXX.,' of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Crimes and Punishments," to be sub-title "Seduction,"
and to be section 210, making seduction a misdemeanor pun-
ishable in the Penitentiary.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. McColgan, from the Committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably,
A bill, entitled an Act. to approve and confirm an ordi-
nance of the City of Baltimore, approved on the 24th day
of June, 1871, entitled an ordinance to "condemn and close
McEldery street, between Regester and Wolf streets, and
Ann street, between Jefferson and Monument streets, and all
streets, lanes or alleys comprised within the whole grounds
bounded on the north by Monument street, on the south by
Jefferson street, on the east by Wolf street, and on the west
by Regester street.
Which was read a first time.
Also,
A bill, entitled an Act to repeal section 191, of Article
IV., of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Balti-
more," sub title "Cruelty to Animals," and to enact in lieu
hereof, the following.
